With Intuitive Shipping, you can calculate shipping rates using different packaging methods, including Combined Volume, Combined Weight, Combined Quantity and SmartBoxing™.
But how do you know which one is best for you? Here are some examples that can help you make that determination.
Combined Volume
Combined Volume works best for soft goods like t-shirts that can be bent or manipulated safely into the same dimensions and can be shaped to fit a package.
Combined Weight
Goods that are packaged in larger quantities, such as nuts and bolts, or products that ship by the pound are bettered suited for the Combined Weight method.
Combined Quantity
It is generally better to use Combined Quantity when shipping irregularly shaped goods, or products that have a uniform size and shape such as baseball caps or other ‘stack-able’ items.
SmartBoxing™
SmartBoxing™ is best for shipping goods with varying dimensions. Our advanced algorithm compares the dimensions of all the items in the cart to all of your available package sizes to determine the most efficient fit.
